Skype's great if you have a pre existing friends list, not if you're going into a new game. I've really enjoyed my time with it. I was playing a couple matches of Destiny 2 and I didn't notice any suspicion of lock on advantages. You can literally not miss a shot.
I think it's probably a sensitivity issue, where I have my fancy high response mouse turned all the way up for Doom and Titanfall 2 and going to the slower Destiny feels twitchy and weird. That's what I was thinking. It would have to be inserting random head shots which it doesn't currently do in the normal non-crucible PvE version of the game. To account for the difference in hardware, controller players are given a little help in the form of aim-assist. The great thing about having options is that everyone can play how they want. But much of what I love about Destiny 2 - that leaning back on my sofa, almost mindless aim-assist fuelled carnage - is very much a console thing. I don't care if people play with a controller and need Aim Assist. I use a Logitech G933 wireless headset and have zero issues. These damn video games and systems are not cheap and we want to relax and play them how we want. Destiny 1 was certainly not a game that played well in a competitive environment, but so far it seems Destiny 2 is on the right track.
